Our food habits killing us…
We are not consuming good healthy breakfast in morning, we only thinks about calories, but sometimes it seems good but its not suitable to ur tummy always.
In collage’s canteen or in restaurants, mostly teenage boys n gals consume breakfast with cola and other soda based drinks. One soft drink bottles contain almost 10 spoon of sugar. Restaurants fried chips contain 600 calories. One burger contains almost 1800 calories. To burn out this calories you need to cycling 20 miles at least. Almost all packed drink/food contain number of chemicals and preservatives. If you are consuming strawberry juice from tin, I am sure there is nothing about strawberry inside it. Its flavored syrup-a synthetic chemicals which tastes like berries. Its just marketing gimmick. This is d biggest causative factor of hormonal imbalance and other probs of teenagers. All this junk food/ packed food can raise your bad cholesterol level, harmful to your heart, decrease your memory power, harms ur cells n tissues of d body and can b dangerous to your vital organ like liver, Kidney and so….!
Today we are surrounded by so many books of recopies , food n recipe channels are on air , people watches kitchen channels on television, so many articles are publishing in news papers about health facts and myths but none of us taking care of our food habits.
In one news papers I was reading health column once, the author used one horrible word for recipes’ of restaurants. The authors said, – “It is pornography of restaurant’s food plates. Books and articles on food are over heated pornographic cook…!” oh god, how true.and what a perfect word the author find out… We spend so many rupees on food and consuming totally nonsense – bad food everyday. If you wll visit the inside of Kitchen of restaurants, I m sure you will surely do vomit there.
Mostly today’s teen gals wanna zero figure. Or they are very much conscious about there body size. Its good ,no matters boys or gal, we shud maintain our body.. But madness towards it leads to various disorders. We go to nice restaurants, spending 300 Rupees for a one recipe or plate and eating nothing. Why? If I consume it, my body figure will be disturbed. How stupid..what a nonsense…???
We are suffering from such phobia. Food should be pleasurable , but its miserable process now a days…! I m true na…?
At home, we re not interested to make a food. We just make a food in hesitation. We overheat the food. In Ayurveda, ancient texts says, the food which is cooked on high flames is not good / suitable for your body. Such food is not SATVIK food. Such types of Overheated food dosnt contain any nutritious values. Same way, in restaurants they are making food, they put so many spices and Masala to tastes better n we always consume overheated artificial food there. You try for the experience, you will feel the difference between overheated food and food which is made on law flames.
Today we eat coffee or tea after meals. Some consume deserts / ice creams also. This is nothing but we are doing preparations to go to hospitals. Ayurveda mentioned all this under labels of Virrudha aahaar.
Now a days there is trend to live in home which have small kitchen or no kitchen. We can see so many homes without kitchens. What the need of kitchen? There is restaurants to eat..Office canteen are there…fast food cabins r there…quick food is available na!!! We don’t have time to have food peacefully. We consume food By watching computer, or talking on cell phones…standing…walking…or consuming while travelling or driving! Huh…so sad this is..! We forget the value of food. To achieve all other things, we forget that food is necessary basic thing to survive. We must create awareness ,even self awareness…to understand the value of Food. Or otherwise we continue to enjoy this pornographic food …! Think twice before u eat…!
